Intimate Aspen Grove Summer Elopement in Utah with Family

When Anne Marie and John reached out to us about their elopement vision, we were immediately invested in their dream:

“An intimate ceremony nestled among aspen trees, surrounded by our closest loved ones. We want a day that feels peaceful, connected, and reflective of our love for nature. We also want photos against a mountainous backdrop and a short hike to a serene location, maybe just time for the two of us too.”

Crafting the Perfect Elopement Experience

With Anne Marie and John’s love for aspen trees and mountain views in mind, we scouted several stunning locations that offered the perfect mix of privacy and natural beauty.

After discussing a few options, they chose a picturesque grove of aspens in Bonanza Flats, just outside Park City, Utah. This spot was accessible enough for family members of all ages, yet secluded enough to feel like their own private natural venue.

To add a sense of adventure, we suggested a sunrise hike to an overlook for their portraits and to create time for just the two of them before their ceremony at noon.

We scouted a location near American Fork Canyon, which offered stunning views of the Timpanogos Mountains. Starting the hike in the dark, we reached the spot just in time to capture the alpenglow on the Timpanogos. It was the perfect way to begin their day.

A Ceremony Among Aspen Trees

After their sunrise adventure, we all took a break for breakfast before gathering back in Park City for their ceremony among the aspens. The couple chose a non-traditional setup, with their family forming a semi-circle around them to create an intimate and inclusive vibe.

Their officiant, the bride's brother, delivered a heartfelt ceremony that perfectly captured their journey together.

Anne Marie and John opted for a midday ceremony, which can be a challenge for photographers due to harsh light. However, with our expertise, we captured beautiful, well-lit photos that preserved the beauty of their day.

As professionals, we are adept at working in any lighting conditions, ensuring their memories were documented flawlessly.

Why an Aspen Elopement with Family is Perfect for Adventurous Couples

Eloping doesn’t have to mean leaving your loved ones behind. For couples like Anne Marie and John, blending adventure with family made their day even more special. The aspen grove provided a stunning yet accessible setting, and the short hike added an adventurous twist without overwhelming their guests.
