Arches National Park Adventure Elopement: R & B Epic Day

Updated: Sep 21

R and B wanted their elopement to be all about the adventure. Just the two of them, no stress, no big guest list, just an intimate, unforgettable day in nature. And where better to have an adventure elopement than Arches National Park. With its stunning rock formations, wide open skies, and the magic of the desert, it was the perfect spot for them to say “I do.”

Getting Ready in Moab

We started the day by meeting R and B at their Airbnb in Moab. No chaos, no rushing around, just excitement. They were both so relaxed, fully soaking in the day. After they exchanged a few sweet gifts, finished getting ready, and we snapped some photos, we all piled into the Jeep and made our way to Arches National Park.

Exploring Arches National Park

As we entered the park, the landscape felt completely out of this world. Even though Stefan and I have explored Arches countless times with couples, it never fails to leave us speechless. The towering red rock formations, the arches carved by time, and the way the desert light hits everything—it’s pure magic. For Rachel and Brandon, this was their first time driving through the park. Coming all the way from Florida, they were totally mind-blown. You could see it in their faces, just pure awe as they took in the epic scenery around them.

Exploring Sand Dunes Arch

After capturing some beautiful moments in other parts of the park, we made our way to Sand Dunes Arch—a hidden gem nestled between towering rock walls. We hiked through the soft sand, which almost made it feel like we were at the beach. After a short walk, we arrived at Sand Dunes Arch, a secluded and peaceful spot hidden between towering rock formations. It was the perfect setting for Rachel and Brandon to have a moment to themselves and admire the landscape around them, away from the crowds, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the desert.

The Ceremony at Corona Arch

Their ceremony took place at Corona Arch, which isn’t technically inside Arches National Park, but it's one of those hidden gems that offers epic views and a more secluded feel. Ruth, their officiant from Moab Officiant, met us there, and we all hiked to the arch together. It was just the five of us—R, B, Ruth, and us as their witnesses.

The weather had other plans, though! Just as they started exchanging their vows, a light rain began to fall. But in the desert, rain is a fleeting thing, and R & B didn’t let it dampen their spirits. In fact, it only added to the magic of the moment. And right as they were pronounced husband and wife, the clouds parted, and a rainbow appeared. It was one of those surreal, perfect moments that you couldn’t plan if you tried.

Picnic and a hike Under the Stars

After the ceremony, we set up a cozy little picnic with charcuterie, wine, and champagne to celebrate. R and B took their time, savoring the moment, laughing, and reflecting on the incredible day they’d just had.

As the sun set, we hiked back to our cars under a sky full of stars, headlamps lighting the way. The stars in the desert are like nothing else—clear, bright, and endless. It felt like the perfect end to their adventure elopement.

Why Arches National Park is Perfect for an Adventure Elopement

R and B’s day was a perfect example of why an Arches National Park adventure elopement is such an incredible choice. It’s not just about the stunning landscapes (though, let’s be honest, those are amazing), but about the experience itself. It’s intimate, wild, and gives you the freedom to create a day that’s truly your own.

Whether it’s exploring the park, having a ceremony under a natural arch, or celebrating with a simple picnic, the possibilities are endless.

If you’re dreaming of a day that’s all about you and your partner, with no stress and all the adventure, an elopement in Arches National Park might just be the perfect fit. And trust us, rain or shine, it’ll be a day you’ll never forget.
